平和学の二人の大家: Pacifist Blog

今回も備忘録的なエントリーになるのが申し訳ありません。

平和学の大物といえば、どうやらノルウェーのヨハン・ガルトゥングとノルウェー系アメリカ人のエリース・ボールディングのようだ。ところが、何だか平和大国であるらしい日本ではこの二人の著作がほとんど和訳されていないという事態に陥っている。英語を読める学者だけが二人の業績に接して、ほかの人たちは学問の系統を無視してオナニズムに陥っているのだろうか。

とりあえず、Wikipedia日本語版からではあるが、二人の著作を書き抜いておきたい。まずはヨハン・ガルトゥングである。ガルトゥングは結構和訳も出ている。スポンサーがあの大宗教家だからだろうか。ただし市立の公共図書館レベルでは置いていない可能性が高いようだ。

日本の学会は21世紀の今日になっても女性差別をしているのか。それともエリース・ボールディングが多作家なのか、とにかく和訳が少ない。ここら辺は日本の平和学者に猛省を迫りたい。むしろ経済学者で夫のケネス・ボールディングの方が平和学者として有名みたいだし……

本当に平和学を勉強するなら、ここの近所だと中大か創価大に行って、図書館への入場を許可してもらわなければならないようだ。
